A Few Sheep Shy of a Farm

I’m seriously fighting the urge to cast on a baby project (or 3) and I’ve even bought some pink yarn . . . . I’m trying to get myself to finish something first.  I hope to finish the Irish Hiking Scarf in the next few days; its currently 2/3 of the way finished so it shouldn’t be that big a deal, right?

Lately my FO to CO project ratio has been terrible, about 1 Finished project to every 4 that I cast on.  Not good.  I really need to finish some things before I start too many more . . .

Are we taking bets on how long I last before something little and pink is on the needles?

until the KR Retreat!

I can’t begin to tell you how much I need this little vacation! I’m a little nervous about leaving the little guy for 2 nights . . . we’ve never spent the night apart before!  Though it could be good practice for next spring when I’m in the hospital to have the baby . . .

I’m working on figuring out what to bring with me . . . I’ve got a spinning project that I started this past weekend and several knitting projects so that I can work on what ever the mood strikes me to be doing . . . and I think I know what I’m bringing for show and tell . . . . and the class . . . but I need to see what I have around for the swap table and actually start gathering things to pack.

The one project that I really haven’t figured out yet is the “New Beginnings” project to start on Sunday morning.  Its suppose to be something I start for myself and preferably something outside my normal knitting “comfort zone” but I just haven’t figured out what that is going to be yet . . .

Ah well, time to go fix some lunch . . .
