A Few Sheep Shy of a Farm

For me, I know a batch of yarn has turned out “right” when I have a hard time letting it go. This is such a batch.

I frequently remind myself that I can always make more later. Really, I can. I don’t need to stash it away for later. I can recreate a new bunch any time I choose. And yet, sometimes its just hard to let it go.

I have some of my favorites, a skein here or there, particularly the sock yarns, just waiting for me to have time to do something with it.

Right now I’ve got 8 lbs of this stuff, 1 lb of each, just waiting to be adopted by someone, to go to a new home where it will be loved. I just hope it goes quickly, before too much of it finds its way into my own personal stash. Afterall, the business stock and my stash live side by side and sometimes its hard to tell where one ends and the other begins.

I posted the newest batch of yarns today. I forgot to take a nice little group photo to post here, but if I get a chance to grab one while there is still any daylight outside I’ll try and post it tomorrow (or late tonight if I can get the orders done before bed!)

Knitting continues on the sweater I’m designing. The sleeves are done, the fronts are done and I’m just working out the back. I also started working on the written pattern but at the time I didn’t have quite enough coffee in my so it just wasn’t making sense.

We’ve just come from a friend’s 3rd birthday party, the little guy had a blast, and now its time to make pasta for my boys. They missed it at lunch to go to the party and so now we really need pasta! Funny boys, they just have to have their pasta.
