I continue to work on several designs that I hope to submit to various places over the coming weeks. Several are progressing nicely, and several others need to go from my head to paper/yarn before they will show if they have any promise.

Since I’m working on so many different things I’m actually looking for some additional test/sample knitters. So if you know anyone who doesn’t mind knitting something that they will not be keeping in exchange for handpainted yarns/fibers please send them my way . . .

I’m also continuing to work on the baby sweater crop. I sent off one in the mail the other day and yesterday went and got tissue paper and cute gift bags to pack more off. I’m hoping to deliver 2 more in person on Friday . . . that is if I get to go and the moms I’m giving them to are there this week.

DH told me last night that one of his co-workers actually had her little boy a couple of weeks ago, thanks for that heads up! So I’m working on is sweater now . . . it should just take a few day. I actually went and bought a rather substantial bag of baby yarn yesterday since I still have like 9 more sweaters to knit. And since its only May who knows how many I’ll wind up doing by the end of the year; my guess is it will reach close to 30 this year. What do you think?

DH couldn’t believe I actually needed more yarn but once I explained that most of the sweaters were going to the “uninitiated” when it comes to fiber care and hand knitting and the need for easy care (acrylic) fibers for new moms then he got it. Though I think he was still wondering how I couldn’t have yarn somewhere in the stash that would work, but truely, I didn’t.

I’m winding yarn today and planning to dye a special order and a big batch of sock yarns tomorrow.

Tomorrow our shower will be leaving us. Yesterday the bathroom sink was removed. And he announced that in order to make more progress tomorrow the tub will be going so tonight is my last shower without having to go somewhere else to take one. We’ll be using MIL’s bathroom until the rennovations are completed. I hope we can do this relatively quickly because her bathroom is a long way away at 2 am!

I”m going to take a picture of the bathroom soon if I can remember, perhaps in the morning when there is a little natural light coming in the window back there . . . just so you can see what we are dealing with.

Off to take my final shower before the baby comes back from Nonna’s . . .
