One of the wonderful . . .
One of the wonderful . . .
things about being your own boss is that you get to decide what the priorities are (mostly)! Today was such a beautiful day that despite the fact that my self-made work schedule calls for Monday to be the dyeing day (start the week with a bang) I just couldn’t think of being stuck inside and around pots of boiling water all day!
So I’ve rearranged my schedule for the week and decided that the things I was going to do on Thursday, like paperwork & computer stuff, of which there turned out to not be all that much, and work on the design I’m hoping to finish by the end of the month got moved to today. Thursday is now going to be dyeing day this week; the weather will be perfect for it, 50s and overcast/raining.
That meant that after getting a few house things done and doing some office work I was able to take my little yard chair and my knitting/design project outside and work in the fresh air. Since Nonna and the little guy were out I was on my own for lunch and I did something I haven’t done in ages. I called up the road and ordered Sushi and it was Delicious! I brought it back and sat at the table in the yard and enjoyed every bite. Just as I was finishing, Nonna and the toddler returned and I took him back for a while so Nonna could rest up.
She took him tonight so I could go to knitting, I had some books to deliver and I brought most of the newer yarns with me as “show and tell” and managed to come home as few skeins lighter. Thank you ladies.
I’m planning in my mind now what the colorways for Thursday are going to look like and I’ve made some changes to what yarns I plan to dye more of . . . its interesting how seeing other peoples reactions to the yarns I’ve dyed influences what I feel like creating . . . interesting.
Okay, off to do a few other things and then I’m calling it a night. I’m pooped! ![]()
