Just in time!

Both Interweave and Vogue Knitting showed up yesterday!

Today they are expecting the temp to reach over 100 degrees and with the humidity the heat index will feel like its 115 here. YUCK!

The plan is to stay in our living room, all three of us, pretty much all day so that we are in the AC. We’re going to shut down the computer in a few minutes and leave it off during the hot part of today to help conserve electricity . . . and I’m hanging the laundry on the line rather than using the dryer . . . I wouldn’t have done any at all but the baby stuff had to be done, he was down to his last diaper cover. Not that he is wearing one most of the time today, not in this heat, but we’ll need a clean one for tonight.

Since we are all going to be caged in together for the day I’m glad the magazines showed up when they did. It will give me something to flip through in between reading to the baby and playing on the floor. Though to be totally honest with you I’m not really sure I’ll feel like looking at wool sweaters today in this heat! I’m also planning to see if I can get some more of my sock done and may even read a book.

Like yesterday, we really are only planning to leave that room when it is absolutely necessary. Even the dog and cats will probably spend the say in there with us. For a change of pace I might take the baby up to visit with Nonna for a bit this afternoon (gives me an excuse to check on her) I expect she will have her AC on as well.

I’m going to try to remember how hot and sticky it is here today in January when we have our -10 snap that we ususally get . . . a 115 degree range for temps is a pretty wide range!

Okay, gotta go hang the laundry before it gets too much hotter out there.
