Wow! It’s been almost a month since I had a chance to post anything!
As you can probably imagine, the little guy has been keeping me pretty busy! Its hard to believe that he’s 7 weeks old today! Where has the time gone to?
At his one month check up (now three weeks ago) we found out that he’d gained 4 lbs and grown by 2 inches in the 25 days since his previous appointment! Can you imagine, 11.5 lbs at only a month old!
I got on a scale with first without and then with him the other day and it looks like he’s now up to about 14 lbs! He’s growing so fast that he has basically outgrown the 0-3 sized things that we had for him and most of what he’s wearing is now in the 3-6 month sizes and he’s not yet 2 months old!
Unfortunately, he’s also turned into a bit of a PM fusser. We’re working on ways to avoid the meltdowns but it means my spending nearly every minute of the day holding him so I’m getting very little done. While that drives me nuts since I have so much I’d like to be doing, it is a small price to pay for not having him scream himself purple for a couple of hours each night! I still haven’t been able to update the website, package up the pending orders or do any dyeing. My plan for having MIL help with him hasn’t quite worked out yet; she is of the “let him cry” school and we have no intention of doing that. We’re perfectly willing to take our chances on spoiling him by loving him so much, its the spoiling by buying everything in sight that he is going to miss out on.
He’s starting to stir and about to wake looking for a meal so I’d better run. I’ll post a new picture next chance I get.

oh so happy to hear news of you and the LittleGuy. It brings back my own happy summer months waaaay back when. I had a front load carrier for LD and he rode happily around like a little marsupial baby, right where that familiar heartbeat had been.
Ditto on the spoil by too many toys thoughts - my folks were so glad to have a baby to buy for, and it was a boy too!! - that he had every expensive Tonka truck before he was 3. We ended up deciding that they could spend what they wanted on him - but it had to stay at their house. Turned out well since they had 3 more grandsons after LD.!
Oooo = better than the bond of fiber, is the happy bond of motherhood. Congratulations a million times.
My middle baby had what seemed to be colic for two years!?! I had MIL living with me at the time as well. She had the same school of thought as yours.
Now, my oldest baby, has a baby, I’m constantly lecturing her that attention will not spoil them, it’s getting all the “stuff” that will.
Enjoy your little one, they really do grow up so fast. Feels like yesterday, someone my age said that to me. *sigh*
