I GOT TO KNIT!

It hasn’t been much, I’ve had to do it in little bits and pieces when I can but I managed to knit . . . . A new wool soaker for the little guy! Its nothing fancy, just some Cascade 220, knit extra tight to hold in the moisture (6 st/inch on size 3 needles, with the ribbing on size 2) and yes, its quite firm at that gauge! I just have the ribbing around the leg holes left to do and then the first one will be done. . .

And now that I have it figured out, I’m hoping to make at least one more so he can wear them overnight. I’m using up some of the yarn from my leftover bin since it takes less than a skein to make on soaker at his current size . .

I’ve also manged to get a number of the orders that had been placed recently put together and shipped out. I also had a strange glitch happen with a few of the orders that had come in: Somehow between paypal and my email system, I’ve had 3 orders that didn’t show up in the email! Very strange! The info is still there in paypal so I can fill the orders but I only found them when I either received an email asking for an update on the status, or when I logged into Paypal. And since I haven’t been online a much as usual lately . . . .

Well, Naptime will be over soon so I’d better go get a few things done while I can . . . more photos soon, perhaps one of him in his new diaper cover!

Our Beautiful Little Boy is Here!

We are all doing well, working on getting settled into a routine etc. We had a very smooth and peaceful delivery, the best possible outcome we could have anticipated. The staff at the hospital were fantastic, they took incredible care of us. We came home on Sunday and have been getting settled in. Yesterday we took a short walk to a friend’s house for a visit, today we had our weight check at the Drs office (he’s back up to 7 lbs, 9.5 oz) and even had lunch at the local diner while the baby had a nap. Tomorrow we may go visit a friend who just came home today after having her little one on Saturday . . . . and Friday we might go visit my Grandmother.

Otherwise we are all working on getting lots of rest. Nonna is feeding us lots of yummy soups and pasta dishes (and even some cannoli ;) and our dog, Arrow, is constantly on gaurd to be sure the baby is okay, being a good “big brother”.

Here are few more pictures, the ones I’ve had time to get loaded so far. More will come when we can.

We’ve Got News!

Hi everyone M here, I just got word from the very proud and euphoric DH/new daddy that Margaret and their Baby Boy are doing well. Dominic Testa (we haven’t quite picked a middle name yet) was born at 9:01 a.m. this morning, July 1st. He is 7 pounds, 15.4 ounces, don’t have a length yet, but if I hear back I’ll let everyone know. All are happy and healthy and while I was talking to dad, mom and baby were doing well in the background, happily feeding.

Have a wonderful holiday weekend everyone…I’ll post more as I hear from the family.
