Is it really Thursday already?

Wow, time seems to be flying by these days!

My brother is here to work with DH on the barn. They are planning something to do with cutting rafters, while on the roof or a ladder or something. All I know is they had better be careful!

Breakfast is done (waffles with sausages and real maple syrup), though the dishes await cleaning, and the menfolk have gone outside. The zoo has had their morning feed and now I get to sip coffee and check blogs etc. After my morning reading it will be back to dishes. The laundry is done for a few days so no worries there . . . and I have a bunch of swatches to knit up to keep me entertained this afternoon.

I’ve been on a bit of sock knitting kick lately. Guess its the cooler weather and thinking about winter that has me determined to stock my sock drawer full of nice warm, wool socks. I’m still amazed at how much of a sock you can get done just by carrying it around with you while other things are being done, a few rows here and a few rows there can add up pretty quickly.

I’ve also got a bunch of other ideas I’m looking at trying to knit up, but I’ll have to tell you more about those when they become a bit more real and not just some vague notion in my head . . . .
