Progress!
The rafters are up and 1/2 of the roof has plywood. They have also installed about 1/2 of the windows as of my last trip out there! This is very exciting!!!!
For my part, I’ve got the last of that fleece soaking now and should have time for it all to dry a bit before the rain comes tonight!

Men with Tools are here!!!!
The barn is getting a roof today!!! Finally! They are out there right now removing the tarp that has been its cover in one way or another for so long now. Depending on how it goes, who knows perhaps they will even do the stairs today? See, once there are stairs to the second floor I can start having all the storage stuff hauled up there! It will still be months before the the rest of it is finished. DH will be doing most of the rest of the work on his own or with just one other to help so it will be slow going. There will still be an interior wall to build between the office and the storage and lots of finish work to do . . . but once the roof is on and the doors are in etc. I’ll be able to clear out a bit of the storage traffic jam that has been going on here for the past year!
Yesterday I managed to scour about 4 lbs of a 6 lb fleece. I’m about to to go outside and set it back out to finish drying and if I can, inbetween fixing meals all day, I’m going to scour the rest of it. One down, something like a dozen to go! I’d like to get them done while the weather is good and they can dry outdoors. . .
Well, off to water some plants, feed the bunnies and generally get the day started . . .
