Finally, some photos!

This is the new bunny condo complex that DH built for the fuzzy ones. Isn’t it wonderful? It stands about 6 feet high and is about 8 feet long and 30 inches deep! Quite a big home for 4 little bunnies!

And this is my newest bunny, Lila. She’s a mix of English, Satin and French Angora and I got her in May at the New Hampshire Sheep and Wool Festival. Isn’t she cute?

I also took a picture of her “cousin” Cordie, but it didn’t come out very clear so I’ll have to take another . . .

Here is a bit of the lavender I’m growing around the patio this year, the large pot behind it has one of my “tomato topiaries” which are now about 4 feet high!

Weekend report

We had a wonderful time at the Cape this weekend! A rare treat for us to go away like that for a whole weekend!

Saturday afternoon was spent at the beach for a friend’s surprise party. He really was quite surprised to see all of us. I had brought the fly and footprint of my tent which I set up as a sun-shelter. I’m just too easily burned to spend a whole day at the beach anymore!

After the beach we went back to the house of the friend we were staying with to get cleaned up for the dinner party that evening. Our friend, J, had a snack and wine waiting for us, followed by a brief swim in his pool! Then we got dressed for dinner and headed back to the party. We spent the evening visiting and eating, lots of yummy things to be had, then drove the 15 min or so back to J’s place.

Sunday morning we rose to find that J had laid out breakfast of quiche, fruit salad and yogurt with coffee, all of which was wonderful. We spent the day lounging at J’s, reading by the pool and enjoying home-made ice cream and fresh baked chocolate chip cookies! We took a stroll through some local conservation land on the edge of a retired cranberry bog which provided opportunity for some wonderful pictures, such as:

That evening we went to dinner at a lovely little seafood restaurant where J’s good friend works. Dinner was great and dessert was fabulous! After chatting a little longer we got on the road to come home about 9:00 last night. Traffic wasn’t too bad and we were home by 11:15.

I’ll be taking some pictures soon of the scarves I’ve been working on and of the baby blanket so stay tuned for more!
