Bunny report:

3 of the 4 buns got brushed today. I’ve got the scars to prove it! Thanks to a young bunny who isn’t quite used to having her belly brushed and the neighbors grandson who has a habit of screaching like something is trying to kill him if he doesn’t get his way with the other kids . . . the poor bun thought she was next and totally freaked out. I had a talk with said youngerster, and the rest of them and explained that the next time one of them makes a noise like they are about to die, they’d better mean it!

I’ve got one bunny left to do, Blossom. She is starting to shed, as I mentioned the other day, and is going to need plucking so she will take a lot longer than the others. I’m hoping to have an hour tomorrow to get her started. I have to wait until a point in the afternoon where the yard is in some shade, 80 degrees and sunny isn’t when you want an angora rabbit in full coat in your lap, trust me. So more pretty silver angora to spin, yum!

Knitting:

I’m working on the second scarf pattern. I’m about 12 inches into the scarf and so far I really like it. The pattern is pretty easy to follow and sholdn’t be too hard to write up. The design is rather hard to see at the moment but once the scarf is blocked out I think it will be very nice. I’ve got another 2 lbs of merino top coming in the mail this week so I can spin up more of the same weight yarn to play with more patterns. . . .

Dyeing day:

Some of the yarn I orded earlier this week arrived today. The new dye colors should be here Tuesday or Wednesday and once they arrive A and I are going to have some serious fun! I can’t wait to be able to take pictures of all these things so I can actually show you what I’m working on. Should be about another week before that happens.

Other stuff:

Tomorrow is my brother’s 30th Birthday. Funny, I didn’t really feel old when I turned 30 but somehow having him turn 30 makes me feel ancient! We’re all going out to dinner tomorrow night, should be fun, I haven’t seen the family for a while . . . my SIL should be huge by now, she was pretty big when I saw her a few months ago, but I expect by now she’s huge.

And on that note, off to work on the baby blanket, wish me luck!
