Hmm, guess I’m going to have to learn how to fix that archives link . . . I’ll try to do it next week, I promise ;)

Today I’m working on the baby blanket. The shower is in 2 days and I’m on ball of yarn #6 of 7 total. I think I may be able to finish it in time if I don’t let myself become distracted with other things.

So no book for now, no dyeing or spinning etc. I’m doing bits of housework on my breaks from knitting to give my arms a different motion now and then. They are starting to get kinda sore from the pace I’m knitting this at. . . .

I’ll hopefully be able to finish the blanket tomorrow and get a picture of it to post . . . stay tuned . . .

Well, its Tuesday . . .

I’m still trying to finish the baby blanket of the shower this Saturday, but it doesn’t look like I’ll make it, we’ll see . . .

In the mean time here is the yarn I did a few days ago:

Yesterday I worked on doing some baby yarns . . . I think I really like how these turned out . . . of course, I’m only showing you the good ones ;)

I especially like the way these look in the finer gauge of yarn. I’m going to make some socks for my new neice with the pink one . . . eventually!

Well, off to the grocery store before the traffic gets nuts!

Rainy Saturday! Well, its pouring buckets here,…

Rainy Saturday!

Well, its pouring buckets here, literally! Upside is I won’t have to water the plants today, Down side is I’m likely to drown when I have to go out to feed the bunnies or to get his paper . . .

We had thought of having a cookout today, some time back. DH wanted to roast a lamb over an open fire in the back yard and have a ton of people over. Guess its a good thing that we didn’t wind up actually trying to do that! I don’t think even an Eagle Scout could keep that kind of fire going out there in this! YUCK! Guess I’m going to have to get creative with our meals if I want to avoid going out in this to the store . . . . hmmmm.

Fiber stuff:

PixieDust and I did manage to do some dyeing yesterday. She created another 2 colorways and I did 8 by doing several variations on some to see what I liked best . . . unfortunately it was well after dark by the time I got them reskeined so I couldn’t take pictures yesterday and with the rain today who knows when I’ll be able to take them outside for a photo shoot . . . I do think there may be a couple of good colors in this batch, but we shall see.

Today I hope to get some more work done on the baby blanket, the shower is a week away! And possibly do a few more of the swatches from the skeins we had done so far . . . other than that it should be a slow day.

Hope your day is more exciting!

TGIF

PixieDust is here and we are going to do some serious dyeing today!!! I’ve also got to do some tidying up around here since we are having company overnight tonight . . .

DH is still out of commission. DR gave him some pills . . . so at least he finally got some sleep last night . . .

Amie, Sorry the page isn’t working right. I’ll try to work on it over the weekend and perhaps even post the rest of the pictures of that project. We decided not to do the silkworms this year. It was fun experiment and I feel like I’ve “earned the right” to spins silk having been through the process but I think the only way I would do it again is as an educational thing if there were a kid or two around down the road. It was a lot of work. Educational, but work.

Pictures later if any thing turns out . . .
