The 4 fleeces I sent to Zeillingers a couple of months ago have come home! Guess we know what I’ll be doing this weekend!!!!

I don’t know about you, but I sure am glad its FRIDAY!!!

I’m about 2 rounds away from starting the neck of the Aran Hot Water Bottle Cozy. I really do like the cables in this pattern; they aren’t particularly complicated but they have a nice effect. I wonder how they would look in a different yarn? Perhaps something to try later on?

I am hoping to take out the wheel this weekend and do at least an hour of spinning at some point, perhaps even tonight?

And one of these days I am going to get another camera! Hopefully sooner than later!

Hello!

Well, things have been pretty busy the past few days (and today isn’t any better) so just a quick post. Please do bear with me on all the missing graphics, one of these days I’ll get a chance to fix it.

The water bottle cozy is coming along nicely, I’m 1/2 way through the 3rd repeat of the cable pattern and the main portion of it is 9″ long now (11 is the goal) then we do the neck portion. I should have it finished in a few days. In fact, I like it so much I’m considering making a couple more for the gift pile. I consider an Aran, angora wool water bottle cozy to be quite the luxury item ; ) Don’t you think?

Well, off to do some filing etc. I’ll get this thing fixed as soon as I can find some time, I promise!

It was a rather quiet long weekend, which was nice. DH sent me a lovely bouquet of flowers on Friday for Valentine’s Day, really very sweet! We stayed in on Saturday and he cooked us a nice dinner at home, which can actually be more fun than going out on a night that can be that crazy.

The rest of the weekend was pretty uneventful. I did redo the sleeve on DH’s sweater . . . the one I’ve been working on since last July I just really hope I have enough of the yarn all spun since I’m not sure I could spin more that would look the same at this point! Well, one sleeve down, one to go but at least the calculations are done so the 2nd one should go faster.

I also started working on a hot-water-bottle-cozy from an older issue of Interweave Knits. Theirs was done in a mohair blend, mine is being done in Classic Elite Lush (wool/angora) and its is so wonderfully soft. I didn’t check the gauge and I think it might be a little off but if I only felt it slightly and then block it a bit I think it will work anyway. If I like the way this works out I may make a couple more of them for the gift bin . . . . it really feels like a special treat, a nice soft fuzzy waterbottle cozy to cuddle up to . . . not the kind of thing you’ll find many of at the local Target
