Happy Monday, oops, Tuesday ; )

It was a rather quiet long weekend, which was nice. DH sent me a lovely bouquet of flowers on Friday for Valentine’s Day, really very sweet! We stayed in on Saturday and he cooked us a nice dinner at home, which can actually be more fun than going out on a night that can be that crazy.

The rest of the weekend was pretty uneventful. I did redo the sleeve on DH’s sweater . . . the one I’ve been working on since last July ;) I just really hope I have enough of the yarn all spun since I’m not sure I could spin more that would look the same at this point! Well, one sleeve down, one to go but at least the calculations are done so the 2nd one should go faster.

I also started working on a hot-water-bottle-cozy from an older issue of Interweave Knits. Theirs was done in a mohair blend, mine is being done in Classic Elite Lush (wool/angora) and its is so wonderfully soft. I didn’t check the gauge and I think it might be a little off but if I only felt it slightly and then block it a bit I think it will work anyway. If I like the way this works out I may make a couple more of them for the gift bin . . . . it really feels like a special treat, a nice soft fuzzy waterbottle cozy to cuddle up to . . . not the kind of thing you’ll find many of at the local Target ;)
