TGIF
This has been a long week and I’m very glad its Friday. The only “down-side” today is that it is snowing again and they are predicting a mix of freezing rain and snow for the afternoon commute. Not fun.
Blogging:
I’m trying, as time allows to go through all the links in the blog and make sure they are still active. As you can probably imagine, it is a time consuming task. I’m pretty happy with the new color scheme and plan to keep it through the spring. After that, who knows . . .
Knitting:
Last night if finished the 2nd hat to go into the gift box and started another. Since I’m still in a bit of a rut with the more complex projects (something I hope will change over the weekend) I’m going to just keep doing these nice simple round hats for a while so I can have something to figit with. I’m certain that come next December I won’t be regretting the time spent on this now. I’m also considering using up some of the skeins of novelty yarns that remain in the stash by doing some simple scarves that can also be given as gifts . . .
The other thing I did last night was play musical stash. I moved the Cascade 220 stash (sizeable) to the tub that formerly had the gifts (needed a big one before the holidays, but now there are just the 2 hats and it will be a while before that pile gets too big), moved the hats to the tub the sock yarn had occupied and moved the sock yarn to the under the bed container that the cascade 220 was crammed into . . . musical stash. Now each fits nicely and I have a renewed idea of what is in each and want to use some of it up soon . . .
Oh, and now that I’ve finished the increase rounds on the hat and its down to just straight knitting, I’m practicing my continential! Perhaps I’ll even try the purl stitches for the ribbing at the brim that way this time . . . perhaps!
If anything interesting happens with the knitting, spinning or blog I’ll post over the weekend, otherwise I’ll post again on Monday.
