On the knitting front, I’ve made some small progress on Secret Project #4, though I still have a ways to go . . .
I had started Mom’s leg warmers on Monday, having found a formula online. I was about 2/3 of the way done with the first one last night when I finally got her on the phone to confirm measurements. Once we actually discussed what she wanted it turned out to be totally different dimensions from what I had pictured based on her previous email, so back to the drawing board! At least she said she doesn’t need them until January . . . so I can move those to the after the 25th list . . . .
I’ve actually compiled a calendar to work from in terms of when things are due over the next few weeks. I’ve marked the names of everyone I’m knitting for on the calendar based on when I expect we will see them to exchange gifts. People who’s gift is done are in black, for gifts that just need some finishing (weaving ends, a seam etc.) they are in blue and the ones that either haven’t been started or are in process are in red. Still way too many red names on that page for my liking. Wish me luck, I’m going to need it!
by the way, ebay is a dangerous weapon! I’ve been adding to my book collection again
