Well, so here’s what actually happened . . . .
I managed to get the wool into the car, without the box . . . .
then I went to the pet store for cedar shavings and the grocery where I bought all kinds of yummy smelly herbs . . . .
A. came over once I got home and she gave the fibers a test spin on the spindle while I plied the purple and blue stuff . . . . which took forever since I hadn’t plied the purple tight enough and it kept dissolving while I plied!!!! Very annoying.
We also popped in a tape of Breakfast at Tiffany’s, which I have to say is one of my all time favorite movies!! By the time I finished plying it was time for A. to head home and I should have gone to bed . . . instead I spent an hour trying to roll wool into balls to put it in the storage tubs . . . . then I gave up and just shoved the rest in . . . (4) 70qt. rubbermaid tubs and this stuff barely fit!!!!
Tonight I’m brining A. to the spinning group at Mind’s Eye with me . . . She’s already spinning gobs of the new wool and doing a nice even job of it . . . . I may give her enough to knit herself a sweater . . . if she can stand spinning that much.
Tomorrow night I’m going to actually make the sachets to put in all the tubs of wool. Actually, I was long over due for this anyway as I only had a few in some of the tubs and really should have something nice in all of them for protection. So that will be tomorrow nights’s project. If I can get that done without taking a hundred years I may even try to do some spinning, imagine that!
catch you tomorrow!
