Productive Lunch

Baby sock #1 is done except for binding off and the toe increases for #2 are almost done! I’m now meeting a friend for drinks and maybe a salad after work today so I may get a few more rounds done whilest we chat. Tonight the buns are getting a brushing if I get home before dark, otherwise it will get done in the morning, whether they like it or not!

Oh, and DH is going to a Soccer double-header on Sunday so its going to be spinning time! I plan to make some fresh-squeezed lemonade and set up on the patio (weather permitting) to spin in the screen house under the fans. Now that is how I want to spend my weekend!

2 hours, 20 min to go . . . .

Happy Friday!

M and A came over last night for dinner and knitting. We had nice relaxing evening, some wine, salad with goat cheese and grilled chicken and berry parfait for dessert.

I tried to work on the lace shawl, but since its a new pattern it takes too much concentration. Made a little progress on the baby sock, just a few more rounds on the first one to go. I probably won’t have it done in time for tomorrow, but maybe by Sunday.

We also packed up and shipped off more fleeces. I sent 2 and M sent 1, to Zeilingers for processing. Don’t expect those back until sometime in October! I now have only the Jacob Fleece and a small corriedale in the house! For me, that really isn’t much! Of course, when this order and the other one from may are both back I’ll have somewhere in the neighborhood of 30lbs of roving in the house!!!! I’m going to have to find some more time to spin not to mention learn to knit much faster . . . . that will be around 15 sweaters worth of wool . . . course at the rate I’m going it will be winter of 2004 before they are actually sweaters, but its the process that counts, right?

I’ve added some more links, a bead section, needlework (embroidery mostly) and sewing/notions along with misc. other knitting/fiber/historical sites. I still have more in my bookmarks but it may be a few days before I have a chance to add much else . . .

Have a great weekend.
