My Kromski Harp loom arrived today!!!!!

Surprise! When I spoke to the person at the shop I ordered it from a few days ago he said he hadn’t yet heard from the company about when they would arrive, so when it showed up at my work today I was very surprised! I called him to let him know it was here and he seemed surprised too! I spent my lunch time sitting on the floor of my bosses office putting it together (he’s away). So now I want to go home and start learning to weave!!!! Trouble is I have no real idea how to get started or if I even have yarn that could be used to try it! It did come with a video and I have a book so I may be able to figure it out, but I’m likely to be taking a lesson or a class very soon!

I’m almost finished with part one of the surprise project. Just a few more inches to go! I won’t be starting the 2nd part for a few days in order to finish up 2 other projects that are already started and I really had planned to do some spinning tonight . . . .we’ll see which calls to me louder, my old friend the spinning wheel or my new friend the weaving loom!

My plan this weekend does include spending some time taking pictures of all the projects and the new loom so that perhaps, maybe, I’ll have pictures to post on Monday!

Oh, and the No more yarn thing isn’t going to happen. I ordered some Ravello by Tahki from Elann today, just couldn’t resist! I’m planning to make a twin set out of it . . . And now with the loom I’ll be buying some yarn to use with that as well . . . . so maybe I’ll try it again over the winter when I’m busier in general and not as easily distracted by all the sales that are going on!

Okay, that’s it for now . . . off to the projects! Have a great weekend and perhaps I’ll see you at Minds Eye tomorrow?!?!
